Former Jihadi commander dead in Kapisa landmine blast

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A leading former Jihadi commander Farooq and his body guard were killed in a landmine blast in central Kapisa province on Sunday, the acting governor said.

Mehrabuddin Sapi confirmed Farooq died in Kohband district in a roadside blast. Police had started investigations to know who was behind his killing, Sapi added.

But a resident of the locality wishing to go unnamed said Taliban were behind his killing. However, no group so far claimed credit for the attack.
