KABUL were killed, 10 wounded and four others arrested in counter insurgency operations by Afghan security forces over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior said on Thursday.
Afghan police, army and intelligence personnel conducted the operations in different provinces to clear several areas of “enemies of peace and stability”, a statement from the ministry said.
The operations were conducted in Paktia, Khost, Ghazni, Zabul, Kandahar, Jawzjan, Kapisa, Kunduz and Helmand provinces. Police discovered ammunition and defused five different types of IEDs.
