KABUL is central to economic prosperity in the region.
A peaceful Afghanistan, offering a lucrative job market for many Pakistanis, was in the best interest of its neighbours, the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) chairman said.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai, addressing a party convention in the northwestern city of Mingora, said about 50,000 Pakistanis were working in different sectors in Afghanistan.
According to Dawn, Achakzai claimed Pakhtuns had rendered a lot of sacrifices to safeguard the country. Pakhtuns were not terrorists; instead they were victims of the scourge, he remarked.
