<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> and is ready to cooperate in this regard, the country’s visiting National Security Advisor said on Saturday.</p>
<p>Nasser Janjau, who arrived in Kabul on a day-long visit, met with his Afghan counterpart Hanif Atmar at the latter’s office, a statement from Atmar office said.</p>
<p>It said the Pakistani NSA and his delegation took part in a joint meeting with Atmar and his deputies. The two sides discussed ways to improve relations between the two countries particularly in areas of war against terrorism, the <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a> peace process and economic ties.</p>
<p>The statement quoted Janjua as announcing his country’s strong support for the Afghan government peace offer to the Taliban and said Islamabad was committed to cooperation in this regard.</p>
<p>Earlier, Janjau called on President Ashraf Ghani at the Presidential Palace. Ghani invited Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to visit Afghanistan.</p>
<p>President Ghani took to Twitter and wrote, "Today, I received Pakistani NSA at Dilkusha palace. As a follow up to Kabul Process, I have extended an official invitation to Pakistani Prime Minister to visit Afghanistan. This is to initiate state to state comprehensive dialogue."</p>
<p>The statement from the Presidential Palace said “the two sides also discussed the importance of connection and regional cooperation between the two countries in a campaign against crime and activities of terrorist networks.”</p>
<p>Besides President Ghani and Atmar, Janjua was to meet Chief Executive Abdullah and spymaster Masoom Stanikzai.</p>
