<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> on Thursday urged the international community and donor organisations to take measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in areas under their control.</p>
<p>Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the rebel group, called the coronavirus a disease that Almighty Allah has inflicted on mankind because of disobedience and sins, or for other reasons.</p>
<p>The statement said, “We the Muslims nation must consider this disease a decree of Allah (SwT) and deal with it an accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).</p>
<p>In line with advice from religious scholars, Mujahid said in a statement, people should seek forgiveness frequently, pray for their recovery, recite the Holy <a href="/en/quran" class="glossify-link">Quran</a>, give alms and charity and pray to Allah in repentance for their sins.</p>
<p>The statement added safety guidelines offered by <a href="/en/health" class="glossify-link">health</a> organisations, doctors and medics must be adopted and all precautions taken to the best of one’s abilities. </p>
<p>International relief, health and humanitarian groups should discharge their obligations by dispatching necessary equipment, medicine and aid to areas under Taliban’s control, it said.</p>
<p>The Taliban also reminded businessmen of their religious and humanitarian responsibility to support the people in this hour of crisis. They must refrain from unlawful profit and price hike, Mujahid concluded.</p>
