Gurdwara attack: NIA probe team due in Kabul

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): A delegation of Indian investigators will visit Kabul to probe a deadly attack on a Gurudwara here, says a media report.</p>

<p>The Gurdwara in the Shor Bazaar area of Kabul came under attack on March 25. At least 27 devotees were killed and several others wounded.</p>

<p>India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) would send a team to <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a> to look into the attack that was claimed by the Islamic State militant group.</p>

<p>Involving at least one Indian citizen from Kerala, the case was filed under Section 6(8) of the NIA Act, according to oneIndia.com – an online news portal.</p>

<p>Following an amendment to the act, the NIA can now investigate terrorist cases anywhere outside the country against Indian citizens.</p>
