TALOQAN (Pajhwok): A bomb blast killed two civilians and injured a dozen more in Kalfagan district of northeastern Takhar province last night, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Khalil Asir told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosives had been planted on a motorbike that went off late Tuesday night.
He said the blast took place when former jihadi commander Gen. Khair Mohammad Taimor was crossing the area.
Khair Mohammad survived the attack, but two civilians were killed and another 12 wounded.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
