KABUL (Pajhwok): The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Saturday said a Kam Air airline flight from northeastern Badakhshan province to capital Kabul landed safely after developing a technical glitch.

A statement from the CAA received by Pajhwok Afghan News said the Kam Air flight was carrying passengers from Badakhshan to Kabul, including those celebrating the death anniversary of former Jamiat-i-Islami leader and former president BurhanuddinRabbani, when it encountered a technical problem at Kabul International Airport.

Mohammad Naeem Salehi, CAA spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that both the passengers and the crew members suffered no harm in the landing.

However, some sources told media that one of the plane’s engines caught fire while landing, claim rejected by the CCA spokesman.
