PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Four Humvees of Afghanistan’s tribal district of Khyber.

Unidentified gunmen attacked a convoy and set alight the armoured vehicles that were being transported by two trailers to the neighbouring country, local officials say.

The convoy came under attack in Bara sub-district near Peshawar on Friday. However, the early morning incident in Jalandar village caused no casualties, a senior police officer said.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mohammad Ali Gandapur said: “Three gunmen riding a motorbike set on fire the four Humvees on the Frontier Road in Bara.”

A number of drivers, helpers and civilians have list their lives in attacks in Pakistan on vehicles carrying NATO supplies to Afghanistan.
