KABUL delegation on Friday left Kabul for Islamabad for talks on various issues with Pakistani leaders.
Wolesi Jirga defense affairs commission head Mir Haidar Afzali told Pajhwok Afghan News the Afghan delegation was visiting Islamabad at the invitation of Pakistan parliament.
He said the delegation besides participating in a summit of Afghanistan and Pakistan investors will meet Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, foreign and interior ministers, leaders of both houses of parliament and national security advisor.
He said the delegation would discuss various bilateral issues and the Afghanistan peace process with their hosts.
A spokesman for Mir Rahmani, Fahim Kargar said the Afghan delegation included Wolesi Jirga members, heads of five commissions and the secretary.
Yesterday, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq on his twitter wrote: “A high powered Afghan parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Wolesi Jirga Mir Rahman Rahmani will visit Pakistan from 23 Oct.”
