KABUL (Pajhwok): Foreign Minister Mohammed Hanif Atmar on Saturday voiced his deep sorrow over deaths and destruction caused by a strong earthquake that rattled Turkey and Greece.
“Deeply saddened by the earthquake devastation in Turkey and Greece,” Atmar tweeted, while offering heartfelt condolences to the Turkish and Greek foreign ministers.
Atmar also condoled with the people of Turkey and Greece over the loss of precious lives and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
At least 28 people were killed and more than 800 injured in Turkey. The Foreign Ministry in Kabul sent condolences to the people and government of Turkey on Friday.
