Visa related issues discussed with Pak envoy

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> via related issues with the country’s ambassador in Kabul.</p>

<p>A statement from the Foreign Ministry to Pajhwok Afghan News said that Mirwais Nab, deputy foreign minister for political affairs, spoke to Pakistani Ambassador in Kabul Mansour Ahmad Khan via a video conference about visa related issues being faced by Afghan citizens.</p>

<p>Nab thanked Pakistan for its cooperation with <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a> especially during the outbreak of coronavirus and talked about problems concerning Pakistani visa for Afghan citizens.</p>

<p>The Deputy Foreign Minister shared his plans and views with the Pakistani enbvoy to address the current problems of visa applicants.</p>

<p>Pakistani Ambassador Mansour Ahmad Khan called the issuance of visas for Afghan citizens as important for strengthening bilateral relations and people to people contact. He also explained the embassy’s short, mid and long terms plans in this regard.</p>

<p>Nab referring to Khan's explanations also stressed the importance of addressing visa related issue for strengthening and expanding relations between the peoples and governments of the two countries.</p>

<p>Following the decrease in coronavirus cases Pakistan resumed issuing visas to Afghans, but the rush resulted in a stampede that killed 12 <a href="/en/women" class="glossify-link">women</a> in Jalalabad.</p>

<p>Similarly, some visa applicants in Kabul have repeatedly protested in front of the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul.</p>

<p>Although issuing Pakistani visa to Afghan citizens is free, but Amrullah Saleh, the first vice president, had recently claimed middlemen pocketed about $ 1, 00,000 daily from applicants.</p>
