85 health workers died from Covid-19 nation-wide: MoPH

KABUL (Pajhwok): Eighty-five health personnel have died from coronavirus in the country since the outbreak of the virus, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Wednesday.

According to the MoPH website 4,200 health personnel have tested positive for the respiratory virus nationwide.

Most of them suffered and died from the virus in Kabul, Balkh, Herat and Nangarhar provinces.

The MoPH website showed 1037 people suffered from coronavirus in Herat, 1022 in Kabul, 419 in Nangarhar and 257 in Balkh province.

Most of the health workers accounted for 42 have died from coronavirus in Kabul, 12 in Herat, eight in Balkh, six in Nangarhar, three in Kunar and some health worker in other province.

The MoPH said 51,360 people have affected by coronavirus nation-wide in which 2,126 have died while 39,920 others recovered.
