KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has condemned the Yemen Houthi attack on Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi media outlets report the kingdom neutralized on Saturday rocket and drone attacks by Houthis on Riyadh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), in a statement on Monday, condemned the attempted attack on Saudi Arabia.

The statement added such terrorist acts and targeting non-military areas were against the teachings of Islam.

The statement added Afghanistan strongly condemned any attack on Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, the US, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and other countries condemned the assault.

Houthis have conducted attacks on Saudi Arabia multiple times. But the group denied involvement in the latest attack.

The Saudi alliance launched attacks against the Houthi rebels after they captured San’aa, the Yemen capital.

The US has designated Houthis as a terrorist group, which is supported by Iran.
