Foreign-trained cadets to be inducted into military: MoI

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) is ready to appoint individuals who have graduated from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and similar institutions in other countries on the basis of their qualifications and skills.

Forty-three Afghan military personnel graduated from IMA recently, according to Indian media outlets.

In a statement on Saturday¸, the ministry tweeted that all the cadets were the Afghan military cadre and the Islamic Emirate was ready to appoint them according to their professional skills.

The Embassy of Afghanistan in India celebrated their graduation at a ceremony on June 16, 2022.

One of the graduates, in his speech on the occasion, said they were shocked by the regime change. However, they continued to study.

They hoped for the formation of an inclusive government, which represented all Afghans and helped them return home to serve the country.
