KABUL (Pajhwok): Following assistance from the World Food Programme (WFP), the Kabul municipality has launched a three-month food for work programme.

According to the Kabul municipality, each person is given 50 kilograms of flour, five liters of cooking oil and five and a half kilograms of beans in exchange for 15 days of work.

In a statement, the municipality said the food for work programme was launched in 3rd and 5th police district of Kabul on Monday.

The programme would continue for three months and through this a large number of citizens would find short-term jobs.
