FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): More than 10 historic relics related to the culture and history of Mawlana Mirza Shah Akhgar in northeastern Badakhshan province and dated back to 100 years had been registered in the national museum, an official said on Monday.
Eng. Hameedullah Muzafar, member of the Board of Investigation of Historical Monuments and Antiquities of the Ministry of Information and Culture told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The historic items left out from this personality included a helping stick, mini table specific for the holy quran, mini bag, fuel container and some other items date back to 100 years when Mawlana Akhgar was using them. These items were kept in the personal room of this personality in the Khawaja hae village of Juram district.”
He added that the places that have the three dimensions of history, culture and old architectural style will be identified as historic place, and according to the preliminary surveys, the study room of this scientist will also be registered as a historical monument at the ministry
Monawar Shah Akhgar, the son of Mawlana Shah Akhgar who has 90 years of age said his father was borne in 1873 and died in 1949. He added his father was a renowned scholar of the time who studied in Duband Madrassa for 10 years and also taught for two years.
He says that his father was interested in literature, poetry and fiction along with the jurisprudence of Islamic sciences, philosophy and logic, and in one of his works under the name of "Mukhams al-Aqool and Masads al-Aqool" there are parts of history, geography, sociology and stories in Dari Persian language. It has been brought in order and has been achieved as a print ornament.
Badakhshan Cultural Department Director Maazuddin Ahmadi said during a meeting with the residents of Faizabad, the provincial capital, Yamgan and other district the preservation of historic items was stressed and in addition they were asked to protect historic literature and other items available with them
