Water purification machine installed in Lashkargah

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): About 200 families have gained access to clean drinking water with the installation of a purification machine in the capital of southern Helmand province.

Maulvi Mohammad Qasim Riaz, deputy director of information and culture, told Pajhwok Afghan News the purification machine had been installed in Lashkargha Bazaar by the Agriculture Department with financial support from the ministry concerned.

As a result, the official said, 200 households would benefit from potable water and their problems would be resolved. He put the project cost at 445,00 afghanis.

On the other hand, area residents Zubair expressed happiness with the establishment of the project.

He recalled they previously encountered problems in terms of access to clean drinking water. But with the installation of the machine, the issue would be resolved, he hoped.
