JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three people have been killed as a result of traffic accidents in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Thursday.
Abdul Basir Zabuli, police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News two children were killed in separate accidents in the 9th police district of Jalalabad, the provincial capital.
He said a rickshaw without a number plate hit a cyclist, who was killed on the spot. The driver fled the scene, the official added.
A third accident took place in Samarkhel area, where two cars collided, killing a child. Both drivers escaped.
According to Zabul, the driver of a Fielder-type vehicle was killed as his car flipped over in Koz Kunar district.
