KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): A terminal for lorry trucks has been built at the cost of 11 million afs in the Sher Khan Port of northern Kunduz province, an official said on Thursday.
Transportation Director Mohammad Salim said due to the none-availability of Terminal for lorry trucks in the past drivers were faced with a huge challenge and most of the time they parked their vehicles on the roadside.
He said: “Before, there were many problems, there was no ease for drivers, they used to stay outside overnight, they had a lot of problems there, now we have prepared a place for stay and the drivers are really happy and their problems have been solved.”
He said the terminal has been built at the cost to 11 million afs on 10 acres of land.
Dad Gul, one of the drivers, said: “Now there is a facility every vehicle is parked in its place and we are very happy.”
Jan Akbar, another driver, said: “With the grace of Allah our problem is resolved by the construction of this terminal, now our vehicles are safe.”
