Khost clash leaves 1 dead, 6 wounded

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): One individual has been killed and six others have been wounded as a result of a clash between two families in southeastern Khost province, an official said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Tahir Ahrar told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Lakano area of Khost City — the provincial capital.

He said Shizullah, who recently graduated from the medical faculty, was killed and six others were injured on both sides.

He added two people had been arrested in connection with the incident and were currently under investigation.

Security forces rushed the scene and evacuated the injured individuals to hospital for treatment, the official concluded.
