KABUL (Pajhwok): Charity foundations registered with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) have provided more than 56 million afghanis in aid to the victims of recent floods in northern Baghlan and Takhar provinces, an official said on Monday.
MoJ spokesman Qari Barakatullah Rasooli wrote on social media platform X that charity foundations provided about 56 million and 132,072 afghanis in aid to flash floods-affected families.
Earlier, MoJ had asked aid foundations to help provide assistance to flood victims in Takhar and Baghlan provinces, he added.
Also, WFP has provided aid to nearly 20,000 flood victims in Afghanistan.
