KABUL (Pajhwok): Israeli warplanes have conducted dozens of attacks across Syria, including in Damascus, the BBC reported, citing local media.
The Israeli military has carried out more than 100 strikes on military targets in the country, claims the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
Reports indicate a research centre with alleged links to chemical arms production was among the sites pounded.
Tel Aviv says its actions are aimed to prevent weapons falling into the hands of extremists in the wake of the Bashar al-Assad regime’s ouster.
Assad reportedly kept chemical weapons stockpiles, though it remains unknown where or how many.
After overthrowing the long-ruling president, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) said it would release a list of senior officials involved in torturing the Syrians.
Galei Zahal Radio reported the Israeli Air Force has pounded more than 250 military targets in Syria since the fall of the Asad administration.
Dozens of Syrian Air Force fighter jets, anti-aircraft missile systems and weapons production and storage facilities were struck.
