PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Education’s Teacher Professional Development and Curriculum Directorate has launched a capacity building program for hundreds of teachers in central Logar province, an official said on Thursday.
Education Department Spokesperson Shapour Arab told Pajhwok Afghan News This training program has been launched for a number of officials and employees of the Logar Education Department, as well as 1,907 school administrators, principals, teachers, and school council members, and will last for about a month.
This training workshop, organized in seven phases in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and a donor agency, provided participants with training in the areas of professional and work capacity building.
Arab said that with the completion of this workshop, the education process in Logar province would be further strengthened and teachers would be able to properly teach students according to the education curriculum.
Abdullah, a teacher in Pul-i-Alam, told Pajhwok Afghan News that he was happy about the start of a teacher training and capacity building proagramme in Logar.
It is worth mentioning earlier similar capacity-building workshops have been held by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for hundreds of female and male teachers in this province before.
