MAZAR-I-SHARIF (PAN): Two members of a family died and seven others sustained injuries when the roof of their house collapsed in northern Balkh province, officials said on Sunday.
The roof cave-in took place late on Saturday night in the Badam Bagha area on the outskirts of Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital, Haji Nadir, a tribal elder, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the dead included a father and one of his sons. Three women and four children were among the injured, the official added.
Mohammadullah, a doctor on duty in the Mazar-i-Sharif Civil Hospital, confirmed receiving seven injured people. He said their condition was stable.
