KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): One person was killed and two others injured in a gas cylinder explosion in the capital of southeastern Khost province on Tuesday, police said.
Police spokesman Tahir Ahrar said the incident occurred this morning at around 5:00am in the Lakani Bazaar area of Khost City, where a gas cylinder exploded and triggered a fire.
He added that one person lost his life and two others sustained injuries in the incident.
According to him, firefighting teams responded promptly, brought the blaze under control and prevented further loss of life and property damage.
