ISLAMABAD (PAN): An Afghan official delegation is due to arrive in Islamabad on Monday for a three-day visit to hold talks with Pakistani officials over a planned repatriation of Afghan refugees to their homeland in May.
A month ago, officials in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province asked Afghan refugees staying illegally in the province to leave by end of May.
Cultural Attaché at the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad, Zardasht Shams, told Pajhwok Afghan News the delegation was expected to arrive today to discuss the repatriation with Pakistani officials.
The delegation includes representatives from ministries of interior, foreign, refugee and repatriation and lawmakers.
The delegates will be meeting with Pakistan counterparts and some representatives of Afghan refugees.
