KABUL over the next few days, an official said on Wednesday.
Million of Afghanistan-bound textbooks have been stranded in Pakistan’s commercial hub, Karachi, since November last. Three million of the seven million books for secondary schools have so far reached Kabul.
Education Ministry spokesman Amanullah Iman told Pajhwok Afghan News the reason behind the prolonged delay had been the clearance of some documents.
However, he explained the process of clearance had been completed and the textbooks would start arriving in the country in next five days. Iman said students had to use the old books this year.
