KABUL Shahzada Shahid had been suspended as its spokesman after his controversial remarks about Osama bin Laden and the United States.
A statement from the government body, tasked with brokering peace with the Taliban, said Shahid had been suspended as HPC spokesman .
Shahid reportedly called Osama bin Laden a martyr and blamed the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan on foreign meddling due to the US presence.
US Special Forces killed bin Laden, the Al Qaeda leader, during a raid in Abbottabad city, 150 kilometers north of Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, in May 2011.
