KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Tehran, the capital of Iran, for talks with Iranian officials.
The Mehr News Agency reported that Naqvi travelled to Tehran on Wednesday for the second time within a week.
It added that during his previous visit to Tehran, the Pakistani interior minister met with the Iranian president, foreign minister, speaker of parliament and interior minister.
This comes after US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that any conflict with Iran would end “very quickly”.
Reuters reported that Trump’s remarks came as US officials spoke of progress in talks with Tehran, while signs of easing tensions in the region were also being observed.
