SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Intelligence officials in Jawzjan on Saturday arrested a man who had placed explosives in the saddle of his horse for a suicide attack.
Acting Governor Bai Murad Quenili told Pajhwok Afghan News the detainee planned to detonate his explosives during a buzkashi match in Shiberghan city.
He said the 22 years old detainee was a resident of southern Kandahar province. The buzkashi event was held to mark the new solar year. The man is under investigation.
