President Ghani inaugurates key highway, airport in Bamyan

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani arrived on Monday in central Bamyan province to inaugurate the main provincial airport and the Maidan Shahr-Bamyan highway.

Vice-President Sarwar Danish, Deputy Chief Executive OfficerMohammad Mohaqiq, some cabinet members and foreign diplomats have also reached Bamyan City.

The president inaugurated the Maidan Shahr-Bamyan highway after his arrival here. He is also due to open Bamyan Airport, where he will deliver a speech a few hours later.

Meanwhile, a number of civil society to Bamyan province.

One of the protestors, Hussain Dad Ahmadi claimed Afghan forces prevented them from staging the demonstration and detained a number of people who planned the protest.
