PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Two persons escaped from Taliban’s captivity after a clash that left five rebels dead in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Zabihullah Shuja told Pajhwok Afghan News the two persons were accused of cooperation with police and abducted in Tanki March area of Burka district a few days back by Taliban militants.
He said the two while in Taliban’s captivity snatched gun from a Taliban guard and killed five other Taliban militants before reaching safety.
Tanki March area has been under Taliban control over the past few years, he said.
