KABUL (Pajhwok): Two militants, identified as local commanders, have been killed during a security forces’ operation in Nahrin district of northern Baghlan province, officials said.
The Baghlan provincial authorities said in a statement that the operation was conducted last night in Charsayi village of Nahrin district.
The statement identified those killed as Commander Shamsi Kharabat and Commander Baba, saying they were involved in creating insecurity and disorder in the area.
The authorities said the operation was aimed at strengthening security, preventing insecurity and creating a safe environment for local residents.
