KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): A 120-metres long and 9.5-metre wide bridge has been inaugurated in the Matun area of southeastern Khost province, officials said on Monday.
Khost Governor, Hokum Khan Habibi , performed the opening ceremony. He said the construction work of the bridge was completed in 15-month and it will help connected some districts with Khost city, the provincial capital.
He said the bridge was completed at the cost of 95 million Afghanis provided by the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW).
Khost Public Works Director Eng. Mamor Shah told Pajhwok they strived to resolve the problems of local people, adding issues emerged due to the lack of bridges had been resolved in Khost.
He said eight main bridges have been constructed in different areas of Khost province in the past two years and handed over for the service of people.
