7 of a family dead in Kandahar roadside blast

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Seven civilians were killed and two others injured in a roadside blast in southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, an official said.

The blast happened at around 5:30pm in the area between Marouf and Arghistan districts.

Police spokesman Zia Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast hit a vehicle in which people from one fmaily were traveling. He added police arrived at the site of blast and evacuated the injured people to the hospital.

The Taliban have not commented about the blast.
