JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Six members of a family have been killed as a result of personal enmity in the Behsud district of eastern Nangarhar province, authorities said on Wednesday.
The governor’s house said the incident took place in the Saracha Naghlo area of the district late on Tuesday night. The killers managed to escape, a statement from the governor’s office said.
It added four brothers entered the house of their uncle named Salam and killed him, his wife and four cousins. The shooting was triggered by family enmity.
Security forces have launched an investigation into the incident. Efforts are underway to arrest the killers, the statement said.
Khan Mohammad, a resident of the area, confirmed the incident and said the two families had a land dispute and other issues.
