2 killed, 3 injured in gun attack on Khost mosque

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Two people have been gunned down and three others injured inside a mosque in the Mandozai district of southeastern Khost province, an official said on Thursday.

Talib Mangal, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place at the Kamalkhel mosque in the Lalma area of the district on Wednesday evening.

He said initial investigations showed two worshippers were killed and three others injured. The wounded are under medical treatment.

Mohammadullah, a resident of the area, said four people were killed and five others injured in yesterday’s attacked on the mosque in his village.
