<p>FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Security forces ambushed and killed a <a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a>’s designated district chief along with two companions in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said Thursday.</p>
<p>Police spokesman Sanaullah Rohani told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban’s shadowy district chief for Shuhada district, <a href="/en/mullah" class="glossify-link">Mullah</a> Mohammad Sangaryar, and his two bodyguards were killed in Korkhor locality of Baharak district on Wednesday night.</p>
<p>The Taliban have so far said nothing in this regard.</p>
