FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Security forces ambushed and killed a Taliban’s designated district chief along with two companions in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said Thursday.
Police spokesman Sanaullah Rohani told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban’s shadowy district chief for Shuhada district, Mullah Mohammad Sangaryar, and his two bodyguards were killed in Korkhor locality of Baharak district on Wednesday night.
The Taliban have so far said nothing in this regard.
