CHARIKAR militants were killed and three others wounded during a security forces’ operation in Koh-i-Safi district of central Parwan province, an official said Friday.
The operation involving forces from Parwan and the special forces from Kabul was conducted last night in Bacha Khak area, said the Parwan governor’s spokesperson, Wahida Shahkar.
She told Pajhwok Afghan News the slain and injured individuals were members of the Taliban and were involved in terrorist activities.
Shahkar said security forces escaped unharmed during the operation.
The Taliban have so far said nothing about the operation in Koh-i-Safi district, but their spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid in a tweet said rockets were fired at the military sections of the airports in Bagram district and Kabul.
