FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces in western Farah province say a man has been arrested on charges of killing his wife, who was allegedly brutally murdered about a week ago.
Police spokesman Khaleemullah Nangyal said security and intelligence forces in Bakwa district arrested the suspect, identified as Abdul Samad, from the district centre following sustained efforts and continuous surveillance.
He said the suspect had tortured and killed his wife about a week earlier before fleeing the area after the incident.
“The individual was arrested today after sustained monitoring and coordinated efforts by our security and intelligence forces,” Nangyal said.
He added that the suspect has been handed over to judicial and legal authorities following preliminary investigations.
