KABUL activists of central Kapesa province have condemned airstrikes in central Kapesa province the victims of which according to them were civilians.

Thirteen people were killed and injured, including women and children, in Afghan forces airstrike in the Tagab district of Kpesa province three days back.

Omaid Safi, head of the National Development Society, condemned the airstrike and said US forces last Monday bombarded a civilian house mistakenly in which 13 civilians were killed.

He said women and children were among the dead and injured persons.

Safi blamed the Taliban and security forces for the growing civilian casualties. Former Kunduz Governor Eng. Umar Safi said in the past 17-year foreign and local forces have killed civilians in their bombardment adding that this should be stopped.

He warned the gap between the government and the masses may widen if the issue of civilian casualties did not stop.

Tagab Police Chief Mohammad Naeem Safi earlier said nine people were killed and three others injured when a mortar shell struck a civilian house in the Badrab area of Tagab district.
