PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Intelligence agents have detained gunmen who beat doctors at a government health centre in central Logar province, an official said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Pajhwok Afghan News released a news report about the beating of doctors at a government-run medical facility in Mohammad Agha district.
Shamsahd Laraway, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok the NDS personnel arrested the gunmen and seized a vehicle and three weapons from them.
According to Shamshad, the gunmen had not only threatened the doctors with death; they were also involved in armed robberies.
Police spokesman Shahpur Ahmadzai confirmed the arrests, saying they were currently being interrogated by the NDS personnel.
