KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Large taxpaying companies would now submit their returns through electronic system, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) announced on Monday.
Ministry of Finance official responsible for dealing with large taxpaying firms Naik Mohammad Mohbi and policy director Nasrullah Durrani led a delegation to southern Kandahar province and met with the provincial governor, Hayatullah Hayat.
Mohbi said according to the Finance Ministry’s new policy, companies with assets of 150 million afghanis or more would file their taxes through the electronic system.
He briefed the governor and the revenue department head on the new policy and said the policy would make easy filing taxes and accelerate the ministry’s affairs.
He said the use of electronic system would bring about transparency in the tax collection system and would help increase government’s income.
Governor Hayat welcomed the Finance Ministry’s new policy and said its effectively implementation would prevent tax evasion.
