Smuggler detained with 38kg of drugs in Nimroz

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A smuggler has been arrested along with 38 kilograms of narcotics in Zaranj, the capital of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Mohammad Ibrahim Amini told Pajhwok Afghan News the drugs were seized when the smuggler’s vehicle was stopped for a search at a security post in the provincial capital late on Wednesday.

He said the narcotics included 10 kilograms of Crystal meth and 28 kilograms of opium. Two Kalashnikovs and walkie-talkies were also sized from the detained smuggler, he added.
