KABUL (Pajhwok): China says it is in touch with all stakeholders on intra-Afghan talks to expedite the peace process in the war-torn neighbour.
Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Geng Shuang told a regular media briefing in Beijing on Monday China backed result-oriented talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban.
Shuang said this in response to a query regarding Kabul having finalised a list of participants for the intra-Afghan talks in Beijing.
Beijing wanted to offer a platform for dialogue and help the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
“China is maintaining communication with all relevant parties on holding this meeting,” he said, supporting an inclusive peace process led and owned by the Afghan government.
