KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) is expected to announce an end to the scrutiny to appellant complaints.
A formal announcement in this regard will be made at a press conference by IECC officials today. A decision on appellant complaints would be taken in a couple of days, the watchdog said on Tuesday.
On Monday, IECC Secretary Chaman Etemadi told Pajhwok Afghan News technical issues had been addressed and the presidential election file would be closed.
The commission began addressing objections to decisions on complaints on January 22.
The elections were help on September 2019. The incumbent president was declared the winner in the preliminary result. Abdullah finished second, grabbing 39 percent of votes.
