KABUL (Pajhwok): Former president Hamid Karzai on Saturday voiced his deep condolences over the killing of Pakhtun rights activist Arif Wazir.
The Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Islamabad earlier in the day.
In a statement from his office, the ex-president expressed profound sympathies with the victim’s family and friends.
Wazir was strolling outside his residence in Ghwa Khwa, near Wana, when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him from a vehicle.
