Mother shot dead along with 3 daughters in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have killed a mother along with three daughters in central Logar province, an official said on Saturday.

Deedar Lawang, the governor’s spokesman, confirmed the incident and said four people were shot dead on the spot and two others injured, who were currently under medical treatment.

Abdullah Khan, a resident of the area, said the incident took place in the Nanwayan village of Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, late on Friday night.

Khan added the woman’s husband and son were currently in Saudi Arabia for work. It is said the murders have been committed by the victims’ relatives.

Police spokesman Shahpur Ahmadzai said an investigating team had reached the site and a probe into the attack was ongoing.

“We will try to arrest the perpetrators after the probe,” he added. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the killings.
